A 16-year-old male from north Jefferson County has been arrested and charged with sexual torture of a child.

School Resource Deputies at Pinson Valley High School were called to the office to investigate a complaint. A staff member had discovered information that the suspect had assaulted a young female. This incident was not school related.
SRO’s collected the information and turned the investigation over to Sheriff’s detectives. The detectives reviewed the information and interviewed the suspect and victim in this case.
The suspect admitted to assaulting the victim. He was arrested and taken to the Jefferson County Jail.
On June 5, detectives obtained arrest warrants formally charging 16-year-old Nicholas Cameron McCloy as an adult with two counts of Sexual Torture due to the age of the victim and force used by the suspect. He remains in the Jefferson County Jail with bond set at $500,000.
