On April 9, 2025, the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office Vice and Narcotics Division, along with the Drone Unit, SWAT, and SNET, executed a search warrant in the 1700 block of 32nd Place North. The search warrant resulted in arrests and seizures.
Sheriff Mark Pettway stated, ” This is another example of how our specialized units work together to keep our citizens safe. The safety of our citizens is my number one priority. Taking drugs and weapons off of the streets of Jefferson County helps to accomplish this goal.”
Suspect #1 has been identified as: Demario Demontre Gray, age, 26. Gray has been charged with Carry Brass knuckles/Slingshot with a $500.00 bond; Loitering/Dug Purposes with a $500.00 bond; and Possession of Marijuana 2nd Degree with a $6,000.00 bond. The suspect is out on bond from the Jefferson County Jail.
Suspect #2 has been identified as: Chris Laran Scott, age, 45. Scott has been charged with Loitering with a $300.00 bond; and Gambling with a $500.00 bond. The suspect is out on bond from the Jefferson County Jail.
Suspect #3 has been identified as: Jamicah Joshua Perry, age, 23. Perry has been charged with Drug Trafficking with a $100,000.00 bond; and Possession of Marijuana 1st Degree with a $15,000.00 bond. The suspect is out on bond from the Jefferson County Jail.
Suspect #4 has been identified as: Derrick Dewayne Day, age, 46. Day has been charged with Loitering/Drug Purposes with a $500.00 bond. The suspect is out on bond from the Jefferson County Jail.
Suspect #5 has been identified as: Darius Lamar Coates, age, 35. Coates has been charged with Certain Persons Forbidden to Possess a Pistol with a $10,000.00 bond; and Loitering/Drug Purposes with a $500.00 bond. The suspect is out on bond from the Jefferson County Jail.
Suspect #6 has been identified as: Demarkus James Smith, age, 31. Smith has been charged with Loitering/Drug Purposes with a $500.00 bond; and Possession of a Controlled Substance with a $5000.00 bond. The suspect is out on bond from the Jefferson County Jail.
Suspect #7 has been identified as: Rodtreiz Ladamion Smith, age, 41. Smith has been charged with 2 Counts of Drug Trafficking with a bond of $100.000.00 each; Distribution of Cocaine with a $25,000.00 bond; Possession of Marijuana 2nd Degree with a $6,000.00 bond; and Possession of Marijuana 1st Degree with a $15,000.00 bond. Total bond: $246,000.00. The suspect is in the custody of the Jefferson County Jail.
Suspect #8 has been identified as: Semajay Reynolds, age, 20. Reynolds has been charged with Loitering/Drug Purposes with a bond of $500.00; Possession of Marijuana 2nd Degree with a bond of $6,000.00; and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia with a $6,000.00 bond. The suspect is out on bond from the Jefferson County Jail.
Suspect #9 has been identified as: Ahmad Alexander Amerson, age, 37. Amerson has been charged with Loitering/Drug Purposes with a $500.00 bond. The suspect is out on bond from the Jefferson County Jail.
Narcotics seized: 88 grams of Fentanyl; 40 grams of Methamphetamine; 5 grams of Cocaine; 680 grams of Marijuana; 1 Xanax pill; and 3 clonazepam tablets.
Money seized: $8,621.00
Weapons seized: Glock Model 23; Glock Model 20; Glock Model 19; Smith and Wesson SD40; Taurus G2C; American Tactical Mil Sport AR Pistol; and Brass Knuckles
