At approximately 4:00 PM on Thursday, July 23, 2020, Deputies were dispatched to the 400 Block of Valley Road in Fairfield to investigate the report of a person down. When they arrived on scene, they found an 18-year-old male who had been shot in the head. The victim was alert and talking. He was transported to UAB for treatment. He is in critical condition at this time
