2 Arrested in North Jefferson County Home Invasion

At approximately 6:15 this morning, Jefferson County Deputies responded to the call of a home invasion that occurred in the 1200 block of Sardis Road in Northern Jefferson County.

Deputies made contact with the victim, an 85 year old female, who said that a white male had broken into her home, demanded money and hit her in the head with a blunt object. When the victim saw an opportunity, she fled the home and got help.

Star 1 and K-9 Deputies were deployed. They were able to locate 24 year old Brandon Gourley, hiding in the woods near the victims home.  They also took 20 year old Shelby Robinson into custody after she was found to be driving a pickup truck back in forth in the area.  It was determined that she assisted Gourley in the burglary and was trying to pick him up and flee the scene.

Gourley was taken into custody and is being charged with Burlglary 1st degree.  He has a $10,000 Bond.  Robinson was also arrested and is being charged with Burglary 2nd degree. She has a $5,000 Bond. Both are being held at the Jefferson County Jail.
