On Saturday April 2, 2022 at 7:59pm Jefferson County Deputies responded to a report of shots fired near the hotel at 6400 Kelco Place Fairfield. Deputies arrived on the scene and found a man being treated for a gunshot wound to his hip. Witnesses reported that the shooting took place outside of the hotel and that they brought the victim inside to help him until medical personnel arrived. The victim was unable to speak with deputies at the time of the offense and was transported to the hospital by ambulance. Sheriff’s detectives are reviewing video footage of the offense. Our last update was that the victim was in stable condition.
