On Monday April 3, 2023, at 6:40pm Jefferson County Deputies were dispatched to investigate a report of a person down in the park at 100 Bayview Drive Mulga, Alabama 35005. Deputies arrived and found a 15-year-old male deceased on the scene as a result of a gunshot. Sheriff’s investigators have several juveniles detained for questioning. The body will be transported to the Jefferson County Coroner’s Office for examination.
