On Friday, May 19th, detectives were able to obtain a warrant for attempted murder against suspect, Javier Brykese Burney. Burney was initially identified as a person of interest in a May 16, 2023, shooting on Narrows Road in North-East Jefferson County, but has since been named as the suspect in this case.
