At about 5:45 today deputies responded to a report of a traffic accident with injuries on Alabama Highway 79 at Westchester Drive.
The accident involved an SUV and a car. Initial information at the scene is that the SUV was traveling north on Highway 79 and collided with the car in the intersection. Two adult men in the car suffered critical injuries and were pronounced dead on the scene. The driver of the SUV suffered serious injuries and has been transported to the hospital. The passenger in the SUV was also injured and transported to the hospital. No one else was injured.
