On September 29, 2024, at approximately 7:03 p.m., Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office deputies responded to the 7300 block of Coleman Road in Morris, AL to investigate a report of a found body. Upon arrival, deputies met a citizen who stated that there was a body located near Morris Majestic Road at the railroad crossing. Deputies went to the location and discovered an adult female laying near the railroad tracks. Glennwood Fire & Rescue responded to the scene and pronounced the female deceased. The cause of death is unknown at this time. The deceased was transported to the Jefferson County Coroner’s Office to determine the cause of death.
