On January 1, 2025, at approximate 1:21 a.m., Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office were requested by the Graysville Police Department to investigate a report of a homicide. Upon arrival deputies discovered a 39-year-old male victim, who suffered from an apparent gunshot wound. Deputies also discovered that Graysville Fire & Rescue were on the scene and that they pronounced the victim deceased.
Preliminary investigation revealed that incident was domestic related.
A 40-year-old male suspect has been questioned and released. The case will be presented to the Jefferson County District Attorney’s Office for a determination.
