On Tuesday, February 11, 2025, at approximately 10:42 p.m., deputies from the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office responded to 1417 Rayfield Drive, Midfield, AL to investigate a report of a person shot. Upon arrival, deputies discovered a 21-year-old male victim, suffering from an apparent gunshot wound. Midfield Fire & Rescue responded to the scene and pronounced the victim deceased.
The victim has been identified as: De’arrius Denard Starks, age, 21.
