Narcotics and Weapons Seizure in West End

On Tuesday, February 18, 2025, due to numerous citizen complaints of narcotics activity, the Jefferson County Narcotics Unit, and other specialized units, conducted an operation in the West End area of Birmingham, Alabama.  Detectives executed a traffic stop in the 1600 block of Alabama Avenue on a Gray Chevy Tahoe.  The traffic stop resulted in arrests and a seizure of narcotics.
Sheriff Mark Pettway stated, “Once again, I would like to say how grateful we are to our citizens.  The information that they provide helps us to improve the quality of life for all.”
Suspect #1 has been identified as: Jarrod Artez Hill, age, 32.  Hill has been charged with Drug Trafficking with no bond.  The suspect is in the custody of the Jefferson County Jail.
Suspect #2 has been identified as: James Mosely Wallace, age, 31.  Wallace has been charged with Drug Trafficking with no bond.  The suspect is in the custody of the Jefferson County Jail.
Narcotics seized: 534 grams of Marijuana; 770.67 grams of Methamphetamine; 6.6 grams of Cocaine, 34.58 grams of Fentanyl/ Methamphetamine; 133 grams of Promethazine; 2.83 grams of M30 Fentanyl Pills; and 1.58 grams of Ecstasy
Weapons seized: Glock 22 .40 caliber; and a Glock 20 10mm
