On Wednesday, February 26, 2025, at approximately 1:15 a.m., Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office deputies responded to UAB West Hospital to investigate a report of two people shot. Upon arrival, deputies discovered that a 21-year-old female victim, who was suffering from an apparent gunshot wound, drove herself and an 18-year-old male victim to the hospital. The 18-year-old male victim was deceased by the time they arrived at the hospital.
Preliminary investigation revealed that the shooting occurred in the 1800 block of Crescent Avenue, Lipscomb, Alabama.
