On Sunday, January 18, 2026, at approximately 6:44 p.m., deputies with the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office responded to the 6600 block of Avenue K, Lipscomb, Alabama to investigate a report of a person shot. Upon arrival, deputies discovered a 29-year-old male suffering from apparent gunshot wounds. Lipscomb Fire & Rescue transported the 29-year-old male to Princeton Baptist Medical Center; however, he was pronounced deceased prior to arriving at the hospital.
