Sheriff’s Detectives are conducting a homicide investigation after a man was shot and killed at an apartment complex near Center Point.
Just before noon, today deputies were called to the 2100 block of Whetstone Court to investigate a shooting complaint.
They arrived to find an adult male victim suffering critical injuries from an apparent gunshot wound. He was pronounced dead on the scene. A woman who had been with him was also wounded. She suffered non-life threatening injuries.
The shooter, an adult male, was taken into custody a short distance away and is being questioned by detectives.
Early information from the scene is that the two men were arguing in the driveway when one pulled a gun and began shooting.
The identity of the victim is being withheld pending notification of family.
