UPDATE: Body found in vehicle on I-22 ruled a homicide

The dead body found in a vehicle off I-22 on May 12, 2019 has been ruled a homicide.  The victim has been identified as a 39-year-old Hispanic female named Ernamy Padilla.  Sheriff’s detectives have found enough evidence to obtain warrants against Jose Afrain Dubon Rodriguez for the charge of Murder.  There is a no bond on this charge.  Rodriguez may have fled the area but we are continuing to track his whereabouts to take him into custody.  If anyone has any information on where Rodriguez may be, they are urged to contact Crime Stoppers at 205-254-7777 if their information leads to arrest they will receive a reward.
