Pedestrian Killed on Hwy 79 in Pinson

At approximately 9:45 PM on Friday, August 7, 2020, Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office received a call regarding a pedestrian who had been struck on Highway 79 near Bradford Road in Pinson.
According to reports, the victim, a 35-year-old male, was struck by a vehicle as he attempted to cross the highway. The victim was pronounced dead on the scene.
The Jefferson County Sheriff’s Traffic Reconstruct Team (START) is conducting the investigation.
