Jefferson County Sheriff’s Detectives made an arrest in the shooting of a 23 year old male in the parking lot of Western Hills Mall on Monday, August 31, 2020. During the investigation, detectives discovered that the victim had recognized a male who had robbed him a few weeks earlier. The victim confronted 26 year old, Ladarius Antwon Powell, who then fired shots, striking him.
Powell was arrested and placed in the Jefferson County Jail on the charge of Assault 2nd Degree. The charge carries a $15,000 bond.
