Arrest Made in Clay Shooting

Jefferson County Sheriff’s Deputies arrested 33 year old Jacob Naquade Chambers in the shooting death of his step father.  On Tuesday, November 24, 2020, Deputies were called to the 7500 block of Weems Road in Clay to investigate the call of a person shot.  Once on scene, they found 56 year old Paul Edward Trull Jr. suffering from gun shot wounds.  Mr. Trull succumbed to his injuries.  Chambers remained on the scene until deputies arrived and was taken into custody.

After interviewing the suspect and several witnesses, Chambers was arrested and charged with murder.  His bond is set at $50,000.  According to reports, Chambers was upset regarding a confrontation during which the victim had been accusing of assaulting another family member.
