Birmingham Man Arrested for Trafficking Methamphetamine

A 41-year-old Birmingham man was arrested for trafficking methamphetamine after Narcotics Deputies served a search warrant at his home yesterday afternoon.

Just after 3:00 pm yesterday afternoon deputies with the Sheriff’s Office Narcotics Unit executed a drug search warrant at a home in the 1500 block of Republic Lane near Forestdale.

During the search deputies discovered methamphetamine, marijuana, prescription drugs, guns, and drug paraphernalia. One of the guns had been reported stolen. Deputies also found that the suspect had surveillance cameras outside the home.
The search warrant was the result of an ongoing investigation into the distribution of methamphetamine in the western Jefferson County area.

41-year-old Anthony Paul Warner of Birmingham, the target of the investigation was arrested and charged with Trafficking Methamphetamine. He was released this morning on $20,000 bond pending court proceedings.
