Just after midnight on the morning of September 22 deputies responded to a report of a robbery at a night depository for a bank in Forestdale.
The victim is the manager of a fast food restaurant in the area. She reported that she had gathered the nightly receipts and had driven to the Regions Bank on Tomahawk drive to drop the deposit at the bank night depository.
As she pulled up to the night drop, a black male suspect ran to her car. The suspect pointed a gun at her and demanded the money. Once she gave him the money he fled on foot. The victim drove to a nearby convenience store and called the Sheriff’s Office. She described the suspect as a black male wearing a red hoodie and light colored pants. She also said he had a small tattoo near his right eye.

A detective was assigned to the case and obtained surveillance video from the bank.
The suspect was positively identified as 21-year-old Ni Eric Wooley of Birmingham. On September 30 the Sheriff’s detectives obtained an arrest warrant charging him with Robbery 1st Degree. Wooley is also wanted for two other unrelated robberies in the City of Birmingham.
Ni Eric Wooley remains at large. He is described as 21-year-old black male, 5’10” and weighing 160 pounds. His last known address is in the 1700 block of 28th Street North in Birmingham.
