Burglar caught in McCalla

On January 20, 2019 at approximately 0720am a citizen called to report a suspicious person at a vacant residence in the 5500 block of South Shades Crest Rd. in the McCalla community.  Deputies close by responded and found Debra Teel inside the residence.  Deputies discovered a broken window and a bag of items that Debra Teel said hat she had collected from the house.  The offender was arrested for Burglary 3rd degree.  Once the offender was in custody she stated “Well I guess it’s breaking and entering. I know I shouldn’t have done it”.
