Around 9:30 AM on Sunday, August 22, 2021, Jefferson County Sheriff’s Deputies were dispatched to the Parkway Villa Apartments at the 100 block of 14th Avenue Northeast in Center Point in reference to a female who was vandalizing a car in the parking lot.  Upon arrival deputies discovered that a male who had been at that location had gone to the hospital by personal vehicle to obtain treatment from non-life-threatening knife wounds.  There had also been a fire set in one of the apartments.

According to witness accounts, 27-year-old, Lisa Jacole Grayson had gotten into an argument with a male at that location and she attacked him with a butcher knife.  Grayson’s roommate went outside their apartment and questioned Grayson about the incident.  Grayson then turned on her roommate and attempted to stab her.  Grayson then went to the parking lot and destroyed the male victim’s car with a cinder block.  She then went back to her apartment, where her roommate and her roommate’s 3 children were.  She poured lighter fluid and cooking oil throughout the apartment and set fire to it.  All 4 occupants of the apartment were able to get out of the home.  One of the occupants was treated for smoke inhalation.

Grayson was taken into custody and is being charged with 6 counts of attempted murder, 1 count of arson 1st degree and criminal mischief 1st degree.  She is being held in the Jefferson County Jail on a total of $435,000.00 in bonds
