Shortly before 7:00 PM on Sunday, February 7, 2021, Jefferson County Deputies were requested to assist Brighton Police in the investigation of a shooting that occurred in the 4300 Block of Bessemer Super Highway. Deputies arrived on scene to find a 23 year old Hispanic male, who was deceased due to multiple gunshot wounds. Jefferson County Sheriff’s Detectives took over the investigation at the request of Brighton Police Department.
