Just after 7:30 last night deputies responded to a report of a burglary in progress at a home in the 3300 block of Mt. Olive Road. It was reported that two men and a woman were seen forcing the front door open and entering the residence. While deputies were on the way the three suspects left the home and began walking away.

A description of the three was given to responding deputies and the trio was located walking down Mount Olive-Brookside Road. Deputies stopped them and questioned them about what they were doing. One of the men said “we just left a house down the road. That’s probably why you are out here”. He went on to say that they had stopped by the house to inquire about buying an old trampoline on the property. They found the front door open so they left. None of the three had any money with which to pay for the trampoline and they had no means to transport it as they were all walking.

The three were identified as the suspects that had broken into the house. All three were arrested.
