On Sunday September 6, 2020 at 2:30am deputies received a call of shots fired in the 400 block of 7th Street in the Docena community. Deputies arrived at that location and found a 20 year old woman suffering from a gunshot wound. Deputies provided medical assistance until paramedics arrived. The woman said that while she was driving, someone shot at her from another vehicle. The woman was transported to a local hospital with serious injuries. Sheriff’s detectives are investigating this shooting. Anyone with information is asked to call the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office at 205-325-1450.
