On Saturday August 26, 2023, at 5:17pm Jefferson County Sheriff’s Deputies were dispatched to investigate a shooting in the 2900 block of Sartain Dr. in the unincorporated neighborhood near Adamsville. Deputies arrived and found a man suffering from a gunshot wound. The man told deputies that after a dispute with his girlfriend, she came out of the house with a gun and shot him while he and a friend were sitting in his car attempting to leave. The man was taken to the hospital. He is reported to be in serious condition. After investigation 41-year-old Alicia Dawn Frazier was charged with 2 counts of attempted murder with a $60,000.00 bond for each charge and 1 count of shooting into an occupied vehicle that carries a bond of $30,000.00.
