Sheriff’s detectives are investigating a domestic violence related homicide after a woman was killed in Center Point.
Just after 3:30 today deputies responded to a report of a woman being assaulted in an apartment in the 1800 block of Center Brook Lane in Center Point.
Deputies arrived and found the 36-year-old female victim unresponsive on a bed in the apartment. She was pronounced dead on the scene. The name of the victim is being withheld pending notification of family.
The 46-year-old male suspect was taken into custody without incident and is being questioned.
The investigation is ongoing. Updates will be provided as they become available.
