Fairfield Man Arrested for Center Point Robbery

Just before 12:30 am this morning deputies responded to a report of a robbery of a person in the 200 block of Polly Reed Road in Center Point. They arrived and spoke to the 17 year old male victim and his mother.
The victim told deputies that he had been walking back to his apartment from a nearby fast food restaurant when he was approached by two black males. One of the males pulled out a handgun and said “give me everything you got”. The victim ran away. When he got to the apartment he told his mother what had happened.
A description of the suspects was broadcast to other deputies in the area. One of them spotted the suspects walking along Center Point Parkway. Upon seeing the deputy the suspects fled on foot. The deputy captured one of them and he was identified as the suspect who had pulled the gun.
21 year old Derrick Lynn Reezer of Fairfield was arrested and charged with Robbery 1st Degree, Resisting Arrest and Attempting to Elude. He was also found to have an outstanding warrant for violation of electronic monitoring. He remains in the Jefferson County Jail with bond set at $70,600.
