Fatal Motorcycle Accident

The Sheriff’s Traffic Accident Reconstruction Team is investigating a motorcycle accident that left one person dead and another seriously injured.

Just before 7:30 last night deputies responded to a report of a motorcycle accident in the 2100 block Alliance Road near the Walker County Line.

They arrived to find a motorcycle off the side of the road and two people suffering serious injuries. The driver of the motorcycle, 59-year-old Eddie Ellenburg of Quinton, was airlifted to an area hospital. He died from his injuries shortly after arriving.

The adult female passenger was transported to an area hospital by ambulance with serious injuries. She remains hospitalized.

Information from the scene is that the driver lost control of the motorcycle and wrecked. There were no other vehicles involved. The investigation into the accident is ongoing.
