At about 5:00 pm on May 8 deputies were called to the 7300 block of 15th Street Road to investigate a traffic accident involving a single motorcycle. The driver of the motorcycle, 42 year old Gregory May of Hueytown was transported to an area hospital where he was pronounced dead.
The investigation revealed that the motorcycle had been traveling at a high rate of speed when the driver lost control. The motorcycle left the roadway and struck a tree. No other vehicles were involved in the accident.
