Sheriff’s Detectives are conducting a homicide investigation after an adult male was found lying dead in the front yard of a residence in the 1500 block of 2nd Place NW in Center Point.
At about 9:15 this morning deputies were called to a residence in the 1500 block of 2nd Place NW to investigate a report of an unresponsive adult male laying in the front yard.
The body of the victim was transported to the Jefferson County Coroner’s Office where a medical examination will determine the cause of death.

The name of the victim is withheld pending notification of family.
