At approximately 2:01 AM this morning, deputies responded to the 1300 block of Woodward Road in Midfield, AL to investigate a report of shots fired in the area. Upon arrival, deputies discovered an adult male victim, lying on the ground suffering from apparent gunshot wounds. Midfield Fire and Rescue responded to the scene and pronounced the victim dead.
