On April 27, 2024, at approximately 9:53 PM, deputies responded to the 1500 block of Charter East Circle in Center Point, Alabama, to investigate a report of a person down. Upon arrival, deputies observed an unconscious, adult male victim being treated by Center Point Fire and Rescue. The victim was transported to St. Vincent’s East Hospital.
On April 28, 2024, detectives were notified by St. Vincents Hospital that the victim was pronounced deceased. The Jefferson County Coroner’s Office has classified the death of the victim as a homicide.
The victim has been identified as:
Gemar Hubbard, 54, of Center Point, Alabama.
