On September 23, 2024, at approximately 10:40 pm., Jefferson County Sheriff’s deputies responded to the 300 block of 67th Street in Fairfield, AL to investigate a report of a person down. Upon arrival, deputies discovered a 17-year-old male victim in a home, suffering from an apparent gunshot wound. Fairfield Fire & Rescue responded to the scene and transported the victim to U.A.B. Hospital, where he was later pronounced deceased.
