On Friday, December 20, 2024, at approximately 8:15 p.m., deputies from the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office responded to 2727 McCarty Town Road, Quinton, Alabama, to investigate a report of a person shot. Upon arrival, deputies discovered an adult male, suffering from an apparent gunshot wound. Copeland Ferry Fire & Rescue responded to the scene and pronounced the victim deceased.
The victim has been identified as: Floyd John Franklin, age 64, of 2727 McCarty Town Road, Quinton, Alabama.
The suspect has been identified as: Alexander Nalley, age, 32. The suspect has been charged with Intentional Murder with no bond. The suspect is in the custody of the Jefferson County Jail.
