On Friday August 5, 2022 at approximately 6:23am Jefferson County Deputies responded to a report of a shooting in the 1900 block of Spring Lake Court on the eastern side of unincorporated Jefferson County. Deputies arrived and found a 29 year old man laying in the driveway of a residence suffering from a gunshot wound. The man was treated on the scene by paramedics and transported to the hospital where he later died. Sheriff’s detectives are processing evidence on the scene and conducting an investigation.
