On Sunday, November 30,2025, at approximately 1:17 a.m., deputies from the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office responded to 5051 Parkway, Fairfield, Alabama, to investigate a report of a person down. Upon arrival, deputies discovered a 29-year-old male victim who was suffering from apparent gunshot wounds. Fairfield Fire & Rescue responded to the scene and pronounced the victim deceased.
A preliminary investigation revealed that the victim and a relative were involved in a verbal dispute which led to shots being fired.
A 27-year-old female suspect has been taken into custody; however, she has not been formally charged. The investigation is still ongoing.
