Homicide Investigation in Fairfield

On Monday July 3, 2023, at 8:56pm Jefferson County deputies responded to a call for help at a home in the 100 block of 60th Street Fairfield.  Deputies arrived and found a man suffering from a gunshot wound.  After checking the victim, paramedics pronounced him deceased.  There was no forced entry into the home.  Sheriff’s detectives are reviewing neighborhood video and available evidence.  Anyone who has information about this crime is asked to call the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office at 205-325-1450 or Crime Stoppers at 205-254-7777.
