Just before 3:00 PM today, deputies with the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office were dispatched to the 5700 block of Dewey Heights Road in North-East Jefferson County to investigate a call of shots fired and a person down. Upon arrival deputies found an adult male who had sustained apparent gunshot wounds. He was lying in the driveway of an assumed vacant home. The victim was pronounced deceased at the scene. Witnesses in the area reported hearing multiple gunshots in the area.
