Inmate Found Dead in Cell

On Wednesday May 1, 2019 at approximately 7:14am deputies at the Jefferson County jail found 24-year-old Haley Marie Estis unresponsive in her cell. The medical staff checked the inmate and took actions to try to revive her. The staff continued to try to revive her until she was confirmed to have no vital signs by paramedics. Estis was in a cell alone and was last seen alive at 6:50am. The Jefferson County Coroner will determine the cause of death. The family of Haley Marie Estis has been notified.
