Jefferson County Deputies Investigate Shooting Death of 15 Year Old

On Monday April 3, 2023, at 6:40pm Jefferson County Deputies were dispatched to investigate a report of a person down in the park at 100 Bayview Drive Mulga, Alabama 35005.  Deputies arrived and found a 15-year-old male deceased on the scene as a result of a gunshot.  Sheriff’s investigators have several juveniles detained for questioning.  The body will be transported to the Jefferson County Coroner’s Office for examination.  If anyone has information about this offense, they are asked to call the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office at 205-325-1450 or Crime Stoppers at 205-254-7777.
