Jefferson County Deputies Investigate Shooting Incident in Fairfield

On Saturday September 14, 2019 at 7:57am Jefferson County Deputies were dispatched to investigate a shooting incident that occurred at 6625 Aaron Aronov Drive Fairfield, Al.  Deputies responded and were able to determine that a shot had been fired but no one was struck by gunfire.  Investigators found that there had been a dispute between men riding in the same car together.  At one point the driver pulled the car off the roadway exited the car and fired a shot at a man sitting in the back seat.  The man was injured by the breaking glass but not by the bullet.  The man then fled from the car and ran to a nearby business.  The shooting victim was transported to a local hospital for treatment of minor wounds.  Investigators are reviewing witness reports and available video.  This case is still under investigation.
