Jefferson County Deputies are looking for the parents or guardians of a lost child reported today. Citizens in the 5400 block of Court G in Fairfield called the Sheriff’s Office at approximately 5:00pm to report finding a child unattended and walking in the middle of the street. Deputies went door to door checking to see if anyone recognized the child. No one recognized the child and no child has been reported missing. The black male child appears to be between 1 1/2 and 2 years old. The child appears to be healthy. The Department of Human Resources has been contacted to assist with the care of the child. Anyone who recognizes the child is asked to call the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office at 205-325-1450.
