A 47-year-old man from northeast Jefferson County has been arrested for sexual abuse of four children.
In June of 2016 deputies received a report from a parent that their child had been subjected to inappropriate sexual contact by a male relative.
Detectives from the Sheriff’s Youth Services Division began an investigation. Over the course of the investigation three more child victims came forward to report that they too had been subjected to inappropriate sexual contact.
It was learned that all four victims had been abused while they were visiting the relative’s home. The abuse came at the hands of 47-year-old Christopher Marc Howard and was determined to have taken place over a time period spanning ten years.
Detectives presented the results of the investigation to a Jefferson County Grand Jury which returned indictments against the suspect.
