Why? The Jefferson County Sheriff’s Training Center announces that a new class of sheriff deputies will graduate Friday, May 17 at 11:00 am. This is the 53rd session of the Jefferson County Academy. Many of the deputies who graduate will go on to report to their new assignment on Saturday. The media is welcome to cover this graduation event.
