
Jefferson County Sheriff Mark Pettway is proud to announce that the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office Reserves have been selected to receive the People Against a Littered State (AL PALS) Governor’s Award in the Law Enforcement Category.
This prestigious recognition highlights the Reserves’ ongoing support of the Jefferson County Volunteer Litter Cleanup Program and their active participation in the 2025 AL PALS Spring Cleanup Program. Their dedication reflects the Sheriff’s Office’s commitment to keeping Jefferson County safe, clean, and beautiful for all residents.
Award recipients from across Alabama were honored at the 2025 AL PALS Governor’s Awards Luncheon Ceremony on Wednesday, November 12, 2025, at the Wynlakes Country Club Ballroom in Montgomery.
Sheriff Pettway commended the Reserves for their service:
