Jefferson County Sheriff’s Training Academy Hosts MCJEA Range Day

The MCJEA (Metropolitan Criminal Justice Executives Association) held it’s annual Range Day.  The association is made up of Sheriff’s, Chief’s, District Attorney’s and other criminal justice executives in the area.  The day is filled with fellowship and networking between agencies.  Several vendors get the opportunity to show off some of the latest and greatest products available to law enforcement.  Many also had equipment with which the executive law enforcement officers could experiment.  The event was held at the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office Training Academy.

This year’s corporate sponsors were Alabama Power Corporate Security,  Trijicon, Inc., Springfield Armory, MAC Uniform and Equipment, Virtual Academy, Crime Stoppers of Metro Alabama, Inc., Caliber and Industrial Chemicals, Inc., The Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office and Homewood Police Department.
