On July 4, 2023, JCSO Deputies were called to investigate a shooting that occurred within the 1200 block of Center Point Parkway in Unincorporated Jefferson County between the hours of approximately 10:15 PM and 10:30 PM.
Reports indicate a dark or black colored vehicle opened fire upon another vehicle heading in the same direction of travel. At least one of the bullets struck an occupant – a juvenile female approximately 13-years-old. The juvenile was transported via personal vehicle to Children’s Hospital and was last known to be in stable condition. The suspect vehicle was believed to be occupied by at least two people.
We do not have anyone in custody at this time.
