Man Shot and Robbed

On Thursday January 30, 2020 at 9:37am Sheriff’s Deputies were dispatched to the 5000 block of Bearden rd. Pinson to investigate a report of a shooting and robbery.  Deputies arrived and found the victim suffering from a gunshot wound.  The victim told deputies that he met a man near a tattoo parlor on Huffman rd. in Birmingham.  The victim said that he agreed to give the man a ride and that while they were riding the man assaulted him on a road off highway 75 or highway 79.  During the assault the man took his pistol and shot him with it.  The victim said that the man then got out of the car and walked away.  After driving to Bearden rd. the victim called 911.  The victim described the offender as a skinny young white male wearing black clothing.  The victim was transported to the hospital for treatment, there is no update on his condition.  Sheriff’s detectives are investigating this offense.
